Why has a new flavour of crisps left a sour taste in the mouth of Buckingham Palace officials?

Want to BEyONd TV?

When news breaks, they fix it.

This weekend sees the 2004 outing of the BEyONd TV documentary festival.

The packed-to-bursting extravaganza, in its fifth year, is organised by Undercurrents and kicks off this Friday at Patti Pavillion in Swansea.

More than 30 films will be squeezed into two days of screenings, plus film-making masterclasses, live music, DJs and a Q&A by two Swansea stars of Channel Four's Wife Swap.

A fast and furious three-minute cut of my film Red Florence is being shown on Saturday afternoon, some time between 4.30pm and 6pm, as part of the International Themes bit.

Indymedia festival

This weekend, Sheffield Indymedia is holding alt.doc.fest, three days of indie documentaries, culture and networking/hanging out. My film Red Florence is being shown on Sunday.

It is just down the road from the Showroom, where the Sheffield International Documentary Festival is also taking place this weekend.
