Claw war

Do you remember Jonathan Lander, the Dorset fisherman and single dad whose boat and lobster pots were wrecked by vandals?

Moon river

They say journalists are in the gutter. Some of us are also gazing up at the stars.

The Cassini-Huygens mission to Saturn enters the planet's orbit today. On Christmas Day, a probe will detach from the mothership before landing on the surface of Titan, Saturn's largest moon.

But will the craft splash or crunch when it lands? Some experts say the freezing world is covered with huge oily seas of liquid cooking gas.

Earlier I spoke to a Southampton University scientist about his research to help the mission, inspired by this Nasa painting of a waterfall on Titan. Click here to read the story.
